The Mission Statement

The mission of the Abbott Memorial School is to provide opportunities that promote individual growth, excellence in education, and lifelong learning for all in a framework of cooperation, responsibility, and respect.

About Us

The Gabriel Abbott Memorial School has classes from Pre-K to 8th grade.  The current enrollment is approximately 120 students and is staffed by 9 full time teachers, four specialists, a Title I instructor, a SPED instructor, several classroom aides, and student teachers.

The school takes great pride in the quality of instruction that it provides its students.  Classroom size is small, generally 8 - 15 students, and each receives a high level of attention that has fostered a great deal of success as the students move on to higher learning.  This has been evidenced by the large number of our students that have made the honor roll at Drury High School or McCann Technical School.
